Welcome to the Future of State Universities Conference. Held in Dallas, Texas in October of 2011. The proposal had some support and some opposition in the executive committee. We did decide to circulate the proposal to approximately thirty members of the theory community. Based on the responses, the SIGACT Executive Committee decided to start with a mild change, increasing the number of allowed submissions from about 80 to 90.
